The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Lucky ones have a grandmother in the home who can patch those favorite clothes. This is a memory painting. I threaded needles onto a spool for my great-grandmother. The warm colors balance the cooler whites and blue. The mood is also warm and positive.
